The 2025 - 1st Quarter Release of fire extent and burn severity data includes map products form several programs.
- Monitoring Trends in Burn Severity (MTBS) project data has been released for 299 newly mapped fires from the 2023 and 2024 fire seasons. The total number of mapped products released by the program is now 30,331.
- The Burned Area Emergency Response (BAER) project data has been released for 40 fires from the 2024 season.
- The National Park Service (NPS) project has updated 9 fire datasets from the 2024 fire season.
- The Provisional Initial Assessment (PIA) project has released data for 21 fires on the Burn Severity Portal Viewer that were previously released for direct download in Quarter 4.
- The Rapid Assessment of Vegetation Condition After Wildfire (RAVG) project has release data for 13 fires that occurred in 2024.
- The Undersized Fire Mapping Project (UFMP) project has release data for 8 fires that occurred in 2022.
